Research interests

My past and current research activities are dealing with various datasets, covering several distinct geophysical applications: experimental and theoretical study of seismic wave propagation in porous media (PhD thesis), hydroacoustic/seismic monitoring of bedload transport in gravel-bed rivers (BEDLOAD project, FNR funding) and, more recently (since Jan. 2015), the study of volcanic seismicity in the Nord-Kivu region (RESIST project, BELSPO/FNR funding). The main common task to these projects is to provide a deeper characterization of studied processes using state-of-art signal processing techniques as well as developing dedicated approaches in the framework of high-resolution time-frequency analysis.
